PromptPM is a shared task list for families and small groups. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we keep what's needed to run your shared lists, we don't show ads, we don't sell data, and we don't track you across apps or websites.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and profile photo from the Google (or Apple) account you sign in with, and your timezone, so due dates and reminders use your local time.
- What you add: groups, tasks, notes, due dates, comments and status updates (like "blocked").
- Your devices: a notification token for each phone or browser where you turn on notifications, and whether it's the app or a browser, so we can send notifications.
- Invite links: we store only a scrambled (hashed) version of each link, when it expires, and how many people used it.
- Basic server logs: like any website, our servers see your IP address when you connect. We use it to keep the service running and to stop abuse (for example, too many attempts to guess invite links).
Who can see it
People in a group can see that group's tasks, notes, comments and status updates, and the name and photo of each member. People who share a group with you can see your name and photo so they can add you to their other groups. Nobody outside your groups can see your content.
Services we use
We use Google Firebase (sign-in and notifications), Google Cloud (running our servers) and Netlify (hosting this website). They process data only to provide those services to us. Your data is stored on servers we manage.
Some accounts can add a task by saying or typing one sentence ("Say a task" or "Quick add"). When you use it, that sentence is sent to an AI service provider, along with the names of the people and groups you share, so it can work out who the task is for and when it's due. It's used only to fill in the task for you to check; nothing is saved until you add the task. In the Android app, turning speech into text is done by your phone's own speech recognizer.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no ad tracking.
- No selling or renting your information.
- No analytics tools that follow you across other apps or websites.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete your account, it's removed from our database straight away; copies in our backups are gone within 14 days.
If an account is blocked for breaking our Terms of use, we keep it and its data while the block is in place, so it can be reviewed and restored. You can still delete a blocked account at any time.
Deleting your account
In the app, go to Settings → Delete my account. You can also ask us to do it: see Delete your account. Deleting removes your profile, your devices and your memberships. Groups where you're the only owner are deleted with their tasks. In groups that carry on, tasks you made stay (without your name) and your comments stay as "Former member".
Children
PromptPM is made for families, so children may use it as part of a family group set up and supervised by a parent or guardian. Signing in requires a Google or Apple account, including any parental approval those services require for children. If you believe a child has an account without a parent's permission, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
- Turn notifications on or off, or pick which kinds you get, in Settings.
- Leave any group at any time.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, at hello@persistoconsulting.com.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we'll also let you know in the app.
